This product is an animal treat sold by the Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona under its dedicated pet food private label brand, Compy.

Compy was created by Mercadona, S.A., which was founded in Valencia, Spain, in 1977 by Francisco Roig Ballester and Trinidad Alfonso Mocholí, and later expanded nationwide under Juan Roig. Mercadona contracts specialized inter-suppliers (such as Bynsa Mascotas / United Petfood) in Spain to manufacture its Compy pet nutrition and treat lines.

Mercadona remains a privately held Spanish company owned predominantly by Juan Roig and the Roig family.
