Shake Shack began as a humble hot dog cart inside Madison Square Park in Manhattan, New York, created in 2001 by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) to support the park's revitalization. Due to immense popularity, it evolved into a permanent kiosk in 2004, expanding its menu to include hamburgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, and its signature frozen custard milkshakes.
