The brand originated under the Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co. Limited, an Australian dairy farmers' cooperative founded in 1950. In 2018, Canadian global dairy processing giant Saputo Inc. acquired the operating assets of Murray Goulburn, which included the Devondale brand.
