Fehlbergs is a heritage brand originally founded in Queensland, Australia, renowned for pickled vegetables, gherkins, onions, and jalapeños crafted according to traditional European recipes. Named after the Fehlberg family, the brand established itself as a household favourite across Australian grocers.

Ownership

Fehlbergs was acquired by Riviana Foods, an Australian food importer and distributor. Riviana Foods itself became a subsidiary of the Spanish multinational food corporation Ebro Foods (formerly Ebro Puleva) in 2004. As such, Fehlbergs is ultimately owned by Ebro Foods, headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

Manufacturing Location

While Fehlbergs holds Australian heritage and is marketed under an Australian subsidiary, many of its commercial pickle products—such as these whole dill cucumbers—are prepared and packed in India, known for large-scale gherkin cultivation and processing, before being imported and distributed across Australia.
