The Suunto MC-2 G Mirror Compass is a professional-grade navigational instrument designed for outdoor recreation, exploration, and surveying.

Suunto was founded in Finland in 1936 by Tuomas Vohlonen, a surveyor and inventor who mass-produced liquid-filled field compasses. Over decades, the company established itself as a global leader in precision instruments, dive computers, and sports watches. Suunto compasses continue to be proudly manufactured in Finland at their headquarters and production facilities in Vantaa.

Previously part of Amer Sports, Suunto was acquired in May 2022 by Liesheng Technology (Dongguan Liesheng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.), a consumer electronics and wearable technology manufacturer based in Dongguan, China. Despite the acquisition, Suunto maintains its operational base, brand identity, and instrument manufacturing in Finland.
