Magnum Glace Ice Cream

Magnum is one of the world's leading premium ice cream brands, originally developed by Frisko in Aarhus, Denmark, in collaboration with the Belgian chocolate maker Callebaut. Launched in 1989, it was the first hand-held ice cream specifically targeted at adults, featuring a thick shell of real chocolate and high-quality vanilla ice cream.

Today, the brand is a flagship of the Unilever ice cream portfolio. While the brand has Danish roots, its manufacturing is highly decentralized to serve global markets efficiently. In Europe, major production facilities are located in Germany (Heppenheim), Italy, and Hungary. As part of Unilever's corporate strategy announced for 2025-2026, the ice cream division is expected to be spun off into a standalone entity, though Unilever remains the ultimate owner through this transition period.
