Andechs Bergbock Hell Beer

Andechser Bergbock Hell is a traditional German Dopplebock-style beer brewed by the Benedictine monks of Andechs Abbey. Known as the 'Holy Mountain' of Bavaria, Kloster Andechs has been a center of brewing culture since 1455. The beer is characterized by its strong malt body and luminous golden color, combining monastic tradition with modern brewing technology.

The production takes place exclusively at the monastery's brewery (Klosterbrauerei Andechs) in Upper Bavaria. Unlike many other monastery brands that have sold their brewing rights to large industrial conglomerates, Andechs remains an independent monastic business. All profits from the brewery help support the abbey's social, cultural, and pastoral missions, ensuring its autonomy and local heritage remain intact.
