The West Winds Gin is a craft distillery brand founded in 2010 by a group of four friends—Jason Chan, Paul White, Jeremy Spencer, and James Clarke—with the intention of creating premium Australian gins using local botanicals. Specifically located in Margaret River, Western Australia, the brand has gained international acclaim for its distinct recipes that incorporate Australian native ingredients like Davidson plums and sea parsley.

In 2022, the brand was acquired by Vestey Holdings, a multi-generational British family business with extensive interests in the global food and beverage supply chain. While the ownership is now British, the production remains strictly artisanal and rooted in its Australian origin. The West Winds continues to be manufactured at its distillery in Margaret River, ensuring the brand maintains its 'Australian Made' identity while benefiting from the global distribution network of its parent company.
