Certina watches

Certina is a historic Swiss watchmaking brand known for its commitment to precision and reliability. Founded in 1888 by brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth in Grenchen, Switzerland, the company initially produced movements and supplies for other firms before launching its own brand name. The brand is particularly famous for its 'Double Security' (DS) Concept, introduced in 1959, which set new standards for water and shock resistance in timepieces.

Today, Certina continues to manufacture its watches in Switzerland, proudly carrying the 'Swiss Made' label. Since 1983, Certina has been an integral part of the Swatch Group, one of the world's largest watchmaking conglomerates. This membership allows Certina to leverage advanced manufacturing technologies and high-quality Swiss quartz and mechanical movements while maintaining its identity as a sporty, mid-range luxury brand.
