Kettle Brand, commonly known for its 'Kettle Chips,' was founded in 1978 in Salem, Oregon, USA, by Cameron Healy. The brand pioneered the premium, kettle-cooked potato chip market, emphasizing non-GMO ingredients and thick-cut textures.

Over the decades, the brand expanded significantly across North America and Europe. In 2010, Diamond Foods acquired Kettle Foods, which was later acquired by Snyder's-Lance in 2016. In a major industry consolidation in 2018, Campbell Soup Company acquired Snyder's-Lance, bringing Kettle Brand under its global snacking division. Manufacturing occurs in various regional plants to serve local markets, including facilities in Oregon, Wisconsin, and the United Kingdom.
