Marabou Hjärtan Pralines

Marabou is an iconic Swedish chocolate brand that has been a staple of Scandinavian confectionery since its founding in 1916. The chocolate heart-shaped pralines shown in the image are a popular gift item, typically filled with a smooth hazelnut nougat. The brand is famous for its unique taste, which was developed early on using recipes influenced by the Norwegian brand Freia.

While Marabou is deeply rooted in Swedish culture, it is now part of a large global corporate portfolio. In the early 1990s, the company was acquired by Kraft Foods, which eventually split its snack food division into what is now known as Mondelez International. Despite the change in ownership, the majority of Marabou's primary production remains in the Upplands Väsby factory near Stockholm, Sweden, ensuring that the brand maintains its national identity and traditional flavor profiles.
