Lotto is a historic Italian sports brand founded in 1973 in Montebelluna, Italy, a region renowned for its expertise in footwear manufacturing. Initially starting with tennis shoes, the brand quickly expanded into soccer, basketball, and athletic apparel, becoming a staple in professional sports throughout the 1980s and 90s.

Today, the brand operates under a global licensing model. While it was originally an independent Italian company, its global intellectual property rights were acquired by the American brand management firm WHP Global in 2021. However, the founding Caberlotto family and the Italian entity Lotto Sport Italia S.p.A. still play a role in design and distribution for core European markets. Manufacturing is distributed across various countries primarily in Asia and Europe to meet global demand.
