Pelikan is a prestigious brand with a heritage dating back to 1838, originally established in Germany. The brand's ownership has undergone significant transitions in recent decades. After years of ownership by the Malaysian-based Pelikan International Corporation Berhad (PICB), a major shift occurred in late 2023. The French stationery giant Hamelin acquired the Pelikan Group, integrating the historic German brand into its portfolio. This acquisition marks a return to European ownership, consolidating Pelikan alongside other well-known stationery brands like Oxford. Today, Pelikan continues to thrive by balancing its historical legacy with modern manufacturing and distribution networks managed under the Hamelin group.
