Jacquot is a renowned French chocolatier with a heritage dating back to 1920, when Jules Jacquot founded his first chocolate company in Troyes, in the Champagne region of France. The brand quickly became a national symbol of French confectionery excellence, famous for its molded chocolates and festive treats. For decades, it remained a family-owned business, expanding its reach across Europe, including a significant presence in Portugal since the 1980s.

In 2007, Jacquot was acquired by the Cémoi Group, the leading chocolate manufacturer in France. This acquisition integrated Jacquot into a larger industrial network while maintaining its traditional identity. In July 2021, the Cémoi Group itself was acquired by the Belgian family-owned company Sweet Products (the parent company of Baronie and Duc d'O). Today, Jacquot products continue to be primarily manufactured in France, benefiting from the global distribution and sustainable cocoa sourcing programs of the Sweet Products group.
