Barnes VOR-TX Euro is a premium line of hunting ammunition specifically engineered for the European market. Originally founded in 1932 by Fred Barnes in Colorado, the brand gained worldwide fame for its innovative all-copper, lead-free bullets. The VOR-TX line itself was launched in 2010 to provide factory-loaded ammunition for hunters who do not hand-load their own rounds.

The Euro-specific variant, introduced around 2016, is designed to meet the strict C.I.P. (Commission Internationale Permanente) standards required in Europe, rather than the SAAMI standards common in the United States. While the brand's primary manufacturing hub is located in Mona, Utah, the company has historically utilized the manufacturing capabilities of partners and parent companies across multiple locations to meet global demand.

Following the bankruptcy of the Remington Outdoor Company in 2020, Barnes Bullets was acquired by Sierra Bullets, a subsidiary of Clarus Corporation. However, in late 2023, the brand was acquired by JDH Capital Company and integrated into its specialized outdoor and firearms portfolio, which also includes Savage Arms. This transition ensures that the brand remains a leader in monolithic copper bullet technology through 2026 and beyond.
