Fudco spices and nuts

Fudco is a prominent premium South Asian food brand originally founded in 1979 by brothers Sheilesh and Akhil Shah. It began as a small family-run retail shop on Ealing Road in Wembley, London, specializing in high-quality traditional ingredients like stone-ground flour and freshly ground turmeric. Over the decades, it evolved into a major supplier with a massive catalog of products including nuts, seeds, dried fruits, pulses, and specialty flours.

In April 2021, the food arm of Fudco was acquired by Vibrant Foods, a leading producer and distributor of ethnic foods across the UK and Europe. Vibrant Foods, which is backed by the private equity firm Exponent Private Equity, also owns other famous heritage brands such as TRS, East End, and Cofresh. While the food business was acquired, the original founders retained independent ownership of Fudco's health and beauty range. Today, Fudco products are manufactured in dedicated facilities in the United Kingdom, specifically at a major site in Leicester and a factory in Willesden, London.
