Green Comfort is a renowned Danish footwear brand established in 1994 by Hans Jørgen Millner and Jesper Stærmose. The company was founded on the principles of combining Scandinavian design with orthopedic science, notably developing the patented EnergySole® technology which provides superior shock absorption.

While the brand is headquartered in Denmark, its production is strategically distributed to maintain quality and ethical standards. A significant portion of their leather footwear is manufactured in Portugal, known for its high-quality shoemaking heritage. Additionally, the brand's unique 'Wool by Green Comfort' line is handcrafted in Nepal. This specific partnership with a Nepalese workshop (Comfort Felt) focuses on social responsibility, providing fair wages and empowerment to primarily female artisans. Some secondary production also takes place within other parts of the European Union.
