Founded in Berlin in 1924, Beyerdynamic has established itself as one of the world's most prestigious audio equipment manufacturers. The company is particularly renowned for inventing the first dynamic headphones (the DT 48) and for its high-quality studio microphones, which have been used by iconic figures such as The Beatles and Queen Elizabeth II.

Historically a family-owned German enterprise, Beyerdynamic underwent a significant structural change in June 2025 when it was acquired by the Chinese electronics manufacturer Cosonic Intelligent Technologies. Despite this shift in ownership, the brand maintains its deep roots in German engineering. Approximately 85% of its high-end portfolio, including professional studio headphones and microphones, continues to be handmade at its headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany. The acquisition by Cosonic is intended to provide the capital necessary for global expansion while preserving the 'Made in Germany' craftsmanship that defines the brand's identity for audiophiles and professional sound engineers alike.
