Nederlandse Arbeidsinspectie

The Nederlandse Arbeidsinspectie (Netherlands Labour Authority) is the primary regulatory body responsible for overseeing labor conditions in the Netherlands. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Social welfare and Employment (SZW). The organization ensures that employers and employees comply with laws and regulations regarding working conditions, the labor market, and the social security system.

Originally established in 1890 as the 'Arbeidsinspectie' to enforce the Labor Act of 1889, the organization has undergone several structural changes. In 2012, it was merged with the Inspection of Work and Income and the Social Intelligence and Investigation Service to form 'Inspectie SZW'. Effective January 1, 2022, the name was officially changed to its current title, the Nederlandse Arbeidsinspectie (NLA).

As a government entity, it is not a commercial brand but a public service provider. It functions as both a supervisor and an investigative body, focusing on preventing labor exploitation, ensuring minimum wage compliance, and monitoring safety in the workplace.
