Harley Benton is the exclusive house brand of Musikhaus Thomann, a major German musical instrument retailer based in Treppendorf, Bavaria. Originally established to offer high-quality instruments at a fraction of the cost of major brands, Harley Benton has grown into one of the most recognized names in the budget-to-mid-range music market. The brand was the brainchild of Hans Thomann and his team to cut out middlemen and provide direct-to-consumer value.

While the brand's identity and quality control are strictly managed at Thomann’s headquarters in Germany, the actual manufacturing is outsourced to approximately 20 different partner factories across Asia. Current production is primarily concentrated in China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, depending on the specific model and series. After manufacturing, the instruments are shipped to Germany for a final round of inspection and quality assurance before being distributed globally.
