NTP.org is the primary online hub for the Network Time Protocol (NTP) project, which provides the software and protocols necessary to synchronize electronic device clocks worldwide. The project is a collaborative effort involving a global community of developers and volunteers who contribute to the reference implementation of the protocol.

Originally developed by Professor David L. Mills at the University of Delaware in 1985, the project has evolved into a vital piece of internet infrastructure. While the protocol itself is open-source and maintained by the Network Time Foundation, the physical infrastructure—known as the NTP Pool—consists of thousands of servers hosted by volunteers across nearly every country in the world.
