Findus is a classic brand with deep roots in the Nordic region, having been founded in Bjuv, Sweden, in 1941 by Henning Thulin. Originally focused on fruit and vegetable preservation, the brand became a pioneer in frozen foods. In the mid-20th century, it became part of the Nestlé group, which helped expand its reach internationally to include various canned and frozen ready meals like the meat soup shown in the image.

Over the decades, ownership of the Findus brand has shifted significantly due to corporate restructuring. While it started as a Swedish icon, its ownership moved through Nestlé and EQT Partners. In 2015, the majority of Findus' operations, including those in Sweden, France, Norway, and Spain, were acquired by Nomad Foods. Today, Nomad Foods is the leading frozen food company in Europe, managing several household names. While production facilities for specific soup lines may vary, the brand's operational heart for Northern Europe remains closely tied to its historical origins and broader European manufacturing network managed by the Nomad group.
