Rosti Mepal is a renowned Dutch brand specializing in high-quality plastic housewares and kitchen storage solutions. The brand originated from the merger of two entities: the Danish company Rosti (founded in 1944) and the Dutch company Mepal (founded in 1950). The partnership began in 1993, combining Scandinavian design principles with Dutch manufacturing expertise and market presence.

Most Rosti Mepal products, including their signature food storage boxes and melamine bowls, are manufactured in the Netherlands, specifically at their facility in Lochem. This local production strategy ensures high quality and compliance with food safety standards. While the brands operated together for decades, the Danish and Dutch entities eventually split again around 2018-2019; Mepal BV remains a Dutch-owned company that continues to innovate in the food storage and travel-ware category.
