Husqvarna Motorcycles is a brand with a deep historical legacy, originally founded in Sweden in 1903 as a branch of the Husqvarna armament and outdoor equipment company. Throughout the 20th century, it became a pioneer in motocross and off-road racing. The brand's journey involves various owners, including Cagiva and BMW, before it was acquired by the KTM Group.

Today, Husqvarna Motorcycles is a subsidiary of PIERER Mobility AG. While the brand maintains its Swedish heritage in name and design philosophy, the majority of its manufacturing and assembly occurs in Mattighofen, Austria, alongside its sibling brands KTM and GASGAS. Some production for specific models also takes place through partnerships in countries like India and China to serve global markets.
