Südzucker Fairtrade Cane Sugar

Südzucker's Fairtrade cane sugar is a product supplied by one of Europe's largest sugar producers. While the ultimate parent company is based in Germany, cane sugar by its nature is tropical and cannot be grown in Europe. Therefore, the raw material is imported from Fairtrade-certified cooperatives in developing regions, primarily in the Global South (such as parts of Africa, South America, or Asia).

As a Fairtrade-certified product, it ensures that small-scale farmers receive a minimum price and a premium for community projects. The packaging and processing for the European market are typically handled at one of Südzucker's numerous European refineries or specialized packaging facilities.
