Over its century-long history, the brand transitioned from a family-owned business to being part of larger multinational conglomerates. It was eventually acquired by Henkel, a German multinational company, which integrated Licor del Polo into its Beauty Care division. Today, while the brand remains deeply rooted in the Spanish market and maintains production facilities within Europe (often in Spain), its ultimate ownership resides with Henkel in Germany.
