Café Rico is an iconic coffee brand deeply rooted in the Balearic Islands, specifically Mallorca. This specific product is manufactured and roasted in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, at the facilities owned by Café Rico, SLU located in the Son Castelló industrial estate.

The brand was founded in 1960 by the Rosselló family, who began their roasting operations to serve the burgeoning local tourism and hospitality market. For decades, it remained a family-owned staple of Mallorcan culture. In more recent years, it has become part of a larger corporate structure while maintaining its local production identity. It is currently owned by the UCC Coffee group (UCC Europe), which is a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational UCC Holdings Co., Ltd. Despite this global ownership, the local roasting and distribution remain centralized in Mallorca, catering to both retail and professional sectors in Spain.
