August Storck KG, better known as Storck, is a premier German confectionery manufacturer founded in 1903. The company is world-renowned for its iconic brands such as Werther's Original, Toffifee, Merci, Riesen, and Mamba.
Production is largely concentrated in Germany, with major state-of-the-art facilities located in Halle (Westphalia), Berlin, and Ohrdruf (Thuringia). The company also maintains specialized production sites abroad, including Skanderborg in Denmark and Winchester in England (through its Bendicks subsidiary). Storck emphasizes in-house production and stringent quality control, which has been a cornerstone of its heritage for over a century.
Storck remains a private, family-owned enterprise, currently led by the fourth generation of the founding family. It is one of the few global confectionery giants that has resisted acquisition by larger food conglomerates, maintaining its independence and commitment to traditional recipes while distributing its products to over 100 countries worldwide.
