Unox food products

Unox is an iconic Dutch food brand with a heritage dating back to 1937. Originally founded by Hartog's Vleeschfabrieken in Oss, Netherlands, the brand became famous for its smoked sausages (rookworst), soups, and snacks. For decades, Unox was a flagship brand under Unilever's nutrition portfolio, synonymous with Dutch winter traditions and events like the New Year's Dive (Nieuwjaarsduik).

In a significant shift of ownership, Unilever reached an agreement in December 2024 to divest the Unox brand to the Zwanenberg Food Group. This transition, finalized by 2026, sees Zwanenberg taking full control of the brand's core meat and soup products, though Unilever retained specific instant product lines like Cup-a-Soup. Manufacturing continues to be centered in the Netherlands, particularly at the historical production site in Oss, which Zwanenberg had already acquired from Unilever in 2018.
