Remia Friteslijn is a well-known Dutch product introduced by the Remia company, a family-owned business with a legacy dating back to 1925. Originally founded by Arie de Rooij in his garage in Amersfoort as a margarine mixing plant, Remia expanded into sauces and dressings, eventually becoming a staple brand in Dutch households. Friteslijn was specifically developed as a healthier, lower-fat alternative to traditional mayonnaise.

The product is primarily manufactured in the Netherlands at Remia's modern production facilities in Den Dolder. Although the brand has grown significantly and exports to many countries worldwide, it remains an independent, family-owned Dutch enterprise under the leadership of the De Rooij family, maintaining its heritage and local production roots.
