Brooks Sports, known globally as Brooks Running, is a premier athletic brand specializing in high-performance running shoes, apparel, and accessories. Founded in Philadelphia in 1914 by Morris Goldenberg, the company originally produced ballet slippers and bathing shoes before pivoting to athletic footwear. Over the decades, Brooks became a pioneer in running technology, introducing innovations such as the first use of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) in midsoles.

Today, the brand's manufacturing is distributed across multiple countries, primarily in Asia, including Vietnam, Indonesia, and China, to support its global supply chain. In 2006, Brooks was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Inc., the multinational conglomerate led by Warren Buffett. Since then, Brooks has operated as a standalone subsidiary, maintaining its headquarters in Seattle, Washington, where it continues to focus exclusively on the needs of the running community.
