Solovair footwear

Solovair is a heritage brand of British-made footwear, produced by NPS Shoes Ltd. in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. The brand is famously linked to the history of the Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole; for 35 years, NPS Shoes manufactured Dr. Martens under license. Since the mid-1990s, the company has marketed its own brand, Solovair (a portmanteau of 'Sole-of-Air'), which continues to use the original tooling and machinery to craft high-quality, Goodyear-welted boots and shoes.

Today, Solovair remains one of the few footwear brands that produces its entire collection within the United Kingdom. Its manufacturing process is renowned for traditional craftsmanship, utilizing specialized heat-sealing technology to fuse soles to the uppers. The brand has gained a global following among enthusiasts who seek authentic, British-made alternatives to mass-produced footwear.
