SEAT motor vehicle

SEAT (Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo) is Spain's largest automobile manufacturer, established in 1950. Originally founded by the National Institute of Industry with assistance from Fiat, it was created to motorize post-war Spain. Today, the brand is a key subsidiary within a large German automotive group.

Most SEAT production takes place at the Martorell plant near Barcelona, though high-efficiency manufacturing also happens in other European facilities. In recent years, the company has pivoted significantly toward its high-performance sub-brand, Cupra, while remaining a symbol of Spanish industrial design and engineering under broad international oversight.
