Belstaff is a luxury British fashion brand founded in 1924 by Eli Belovitch and his son-in-law Harry Grosberg in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Originally specializing in waterproof jackets for motorcyclists and aviators, the brand became famous for its use of wax cotton and its iconic Trialmaster jacket. Over the decades, Belstaff transitioned from a functional outdoor gear manufacturer to a global luxury lifestyle brand synonymous with adventure and British heritage.

In the late 20th century, the brand faced financial difficulties and production moved primarily to Italy after it was acquired by the Malenotti family's Clothing Company. In 2011, the brand was purchased by Labelux, a Swiss luxury goods group. However, in 2017, the British chemical giant INEOS, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, acquired Belstaff, bringing the brand back under British ownership. Today, manufacturing is distributed across several countries known for high-quality textile production, including Italy and various European and Asian hubs, while keeping its design and strategic heart in the United Kingdom.
