Marabou Mjölkchoklad (Milk Chocolate Bar)

Marabou is one of Sweden's most iconic chocolate brands, originally launched in 1916. The name was inspired by the marabou stork, which was the emblem of its sister company, Freia, in Norway. For over a century, the brand has been a staple of Swedish confectionery culture, known for its smooth texture and unique recipes like the classic 'Mjölkchoklad'.

While the brand has deep Swedish roots and maintains a large production facility in Upplands Väsby outside of Stockholm, it is now part of a global conglomerate. Following several acquisitions in the late 20th century, the brand is currently owned by Mondelēz International. Despite its global ownership, the product is still seen as a quintessentially Swedish brand and carries a Royal Warrant of Appointment to the King of Sweden.
