Braun Personal Care and Household Appliances

Braun is a world-renowned German premium brand for electrical appliances. Founded in 1921 by mechanical engineer Max Braun in Frankfurt am Main, the company initially produced radio components and power plants. Over the decades, it became an icon of industrial design under the leadership of Artur and Erwin Braun and the legendary designer Dieter Rams, whose 'less, but better' philosophy defined the brand's aesthetic.

Today, the brand operates under a split ownership structure. Since 2005, the primary Braun brand has been owned by the American multinational Procter & Gamble (P&G), which manages the personal care categories such as electric shavers, epilators, and oral care (under the Oral-B Braun co-branding). In 2012, De'Longhi acquired a perpetual license from P&G to use the Braun brand for its small kitchen appliance division. Manufacturing remains diversified, with high-end shaving products still produced in its historical headquarters in Kronberg, Germany, while other segments are manufactured globally in facilities across Europe, North America, and Asia.
