El Águila Sin Filtrar beer

El Águila is a historic Spanish beer brand founded in 1900 in Madrid by Augusto Comas y Blanco. For much of the 20th century, it was one of the most prominent beer brands in Spain.

In the 1980s, the brand was acquired by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken. For several years, Heineken attempted to merge the brand into Amstel, causing El Águila to almost disappear from shelves. However, in recent years, Heineken Spain has successfully relaunched the brand, focusing on its heritage and traditional recipes, such as the 'Sin Filtrar' (unfiltered) variety seen on the tap. Today, it is produced in Heineken's breweries across Spain to serve the local market while maintaining its Madrid-inspired identity.
