Lyle & Scott is a historic Scottish fashion brand established in 1874 by William Lyle and Walter Scott in Hawick, Scotland. Originally famous for its high-quality knitwear and golfing attire, the brand is instantly recognizable by its iconic 'Golden Eagle' logo, which was introduced in the 1960s as a tribute to the world-renowned Gleneagles golf course. The brand holds a prestigious Royal Warrant from the Duke of Edinburgh, awarded in 1975.

While the brand maintains deep roots in its Scottish heritage and continues to design and manage operations from the UK, the majority of its manufacturing has moved to global locations to support its international scale. Production typically occurs in countries such as Turkey, China, Vietnam, India, and Romania. However, the company occasionally releases specialized 'Made in Britain' collections to celebrate its craftsmanship origins.

In 2001, Lyle & Scott was acquired and its headquarters were moved to London. Today, the brand remains an independent entity under the leadership of CEO Philip Oldham, focusing on a blend of traditional heritage styles and modern urban fashion that appeals to a wide demographic, from golf enthusiasts to youth subcultures.
