Garofalo pasta

Pasta Garofalo is a historic Italian brand originating from Gragnano, a town world-famous for its pasta-making heritage. The company, Pastificio Lucio Garofalo S.p.A., was established in 1789 when it received a royal license for high-quality pasta production.

Today, Garofalo maintains its manufacturing base in the Gragnano region to take advantage of the microclimate and traditional bronze-die extrusion methods. In 2014, the Spanish multinational Ebro Foods acquired a 52% majority stake in the company, though the Garofalo family retained management and technical oversight. This partnership has allowed the brand to expand its presence in international markets while protecting its Italian roots.
