La Galope Sauvignon Blanc

La Galope Sauvignon Blanc is a distinguished white wine hailing from the Côtes de Gascogne region in southwestern France. This wine is produced by Domaine de l'Herré, a historic winery established in 1974, renowned for its approximately 130 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards situated at the foothills of the Pyrenees. The unique terroir of Gascony, characterized by its sunny slopes, cool nights, and clayey-silt soils, provides an ideal environment for cultivating Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The grapes are harvested at night to preserve their freshness and are fermented slowly in temperature-controlled vats at 16°C, resulting in a wine that is fresh, mineral, and fruity, with hints of boxwood. La Galope Sauvignon Blanc is known for its light golden, straw color, subtle floral aroma, and spicy notes of fresh citrus and grapefruit. It pairs well with aperitifs, first courses, salads, and good company.
