Timex is a quintessential American watchmaker with a history dating back to 1854, originally founded as the Waterbury Clock Company in Connecticut. The brand revolutionized the industry by introducing mass-production techniques to horology, notably making the pocket watch affordable for the general public and later creating the iconic 'Yankee' pocket watch. During World War I and II, the company transitioned into producing wristwatches for soldiers, eventually adopting the 'Timex' name in the mid-20th century.
