The Plasencia Reserva Original is a prestigious premium cigar produced by the Plasencia family, a name synonymous with tobacco excellence for over 150 years. This specific line is renowned for being the world's first and only organic cigar, made entirely with tobacco grown using traditional methods without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The tobacco used for this 'puro' is grown in the fertile soils of Nicaragua, specifically in the Estelí and Jalapa regions, which provide the rich, medium-bodied flavor profile the brand is known for.

Historically, the Plasencia family's journey began in Cuba in 1865 when Don Eduardo Plasencia started growing tobacco. Following the Cuban Revolution, the family relocated and eventually established deep roots in Nicaragua and Honduras. For decades, they operated as the tobacco industry's 'secret weapon,' growing leaves and manufacturing cigars for many of the world's most famous brands. In 2017, the family officially launched their own label, Plasencia Cigars, to showcase their finest reserves under their own name. Today, the brand remains a family-owned enterprise led by the fifth generation, including Nestor Andrés Plasencia, maintaining complete vertical integration from seed to smoke.
