Toms Yankie Bar Original

The Yankie Bar is a storied Danish chocolate bar originally developed by Toms International in 1946. It was created shortly after World War II in collaboration with the American occupation forces in Germany, who needed a chocolate bar for their commissaries. This history gave the bar its name and its classic American-style composition of nougat, caramel, and milk chocolate.

Today, the Yankie Bar remains a cultural icon in Denmark. It is manufactured by Toms Gruppen at their production facility in Ballerup, Denmark. The brand continues to be owned by Toms Gruppen A/S, which is the largest confectionery producer in Denmark and is itself owned by Gerda and Victor B. Strand's Foundation, ensuring that the brand remains under Danish ownership and control for the foreseeable future.
