The brand is famous for its traditional brewing methods and its iconic swing-top bottles. The Naturtrübes Kellerbier is a classic example of unpurified, naturally cloudy beer that matures in cool cellars, maintaining its original vitamin and yeast content.

While the brand emphasizes its artisanal Franconian heritage, it is brewed by the Kulmbacher Brauerei AG. This brewery is a significant player in the German beer market and is itself majority-owned by the Kulmbacher Gruppe.
