Bayreuther Hell Beer

Bayreuther Hell is a classic Bavarian Helles lager produced by the Bayreuther Bierbrauerei in the city of Bayreuth, Germany. The brand is steeped in Upper Franconian brewing tradition, known for its light, golden color and balanced malt profile.

The brewery's story began in 1857 under Hugo Bayerlein and was later incorporated as a joint-stock company. Since the second half of the 20th century, the brewery has been under the ownership and management of the Maisel family, famous for their Maisel's Weisse brand. Today, it operates as a distinct subsidiary of Brauerei Gebrüder Maisel, maintaining its regional identity while benefiting from a wider distribution network. The beer is brewed strictly in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law).
