Malaco Godt & Blandet Original

Malaco Godt & Blandet Original is one of Scandinavia's most recognized confectionery products. The brand Malaco was founded in 1934 in Malmö, Sweden, and originally focused on licorice production—its name is derived from Malmö Lakrits Compani. The Godt & Blandet line was introduced in 1979, becoming an instant success by mixing various gummy and licorice shapes into a single bag.

Historically manufactured in Sweden and Denmark, production for much of the Malaco portfolio has been centralized in Cloetta’s modern manufacturing facilities in Slovakia to leverage large-scale European distribution.

Today, the brand is owned by Cloetta AB, a major Swedish confectionery company headquartered in Stockholm. Cloetta acquired the brand through its merger with Leaf (formerly MalacoLeaf) in 2012. The product remains a cultural staple across the Nordic region, sold via local subsidiaries such as Cloetta Norge and Cloetta Sverige.
