Rugfras Original Cereal

Rugfras is a popular whole-grain rye cereal originally developed under the Quaker brand. For many decades, it was part of the Quaker Oats Company, which was later acquired by the American conglomerate PepsiCo in 2001. In 2020, as part of a strategic shift, PepsiCo sold the Nordic Havrefras brand family (including Rugfras and Mini Fras) to the Norwegian consumer goods group Orkla.

While the brand is now owned by Orkla, production often remains in established facilities across Europe, most notably in the Netherlands. The product is highly recognized in Scandinavia for its high whole-grain content and the Danish 'Nøglehulsmærket' (Keyhole) health label, reflecting its positioning as a healthy breakfast option.
