However, in recent years, the ultimate owner, Mondelēz International, has shifted some production to Bratislava, Slovakia, to optimize operations. This move resulted in the removal of the 'Swiss milk chocolate' label and the Matterhorn peak logo from the packaging of some varieties to comply with Swiss legal requirements regarding national branding. Today, Toblerone remains a flagship brand in the global snack portfolio of Mondelēz International, which manages its distribution worldwide through various regional subsidiaries.
