Nenuco was created in 1939 in Spain by Ramón Salvador, who developed the iconic fresh cologne scent formulated specifically for babies and children. Over the decades, it evolved into a beloved household staple across Spain and Latin America, expanding from its classic Agua de Colonia into lotions, bath gels, liquid soaps, and haircare products.

Manufacturing

Nenuco products, particularly liquid soaps and colognes formulated for the Spanish and European markets, are primarily manufactured in Spain (including facilities operated or contracted by Reckitt in Spain and neighbouring European facilities).

Ownership

Originally produced by the family-founded Spanish company, Nenuco was acquired by Benckiser in the 1990s. Following the 1999 merger of Reckitt & Colman and Benckiser, the brand became part of Reckitt Benckiser (now known as Reckitt), a British multinational consumer goods company headquartered in Slough, United Kingdom. In Spain, local distribution and management are overseen by Reckitt Benckiser España, S.L.
