Carrefour Classic Garbanzo

Carrefour Classic Garbanzo consists of cooked chickpeas in a glass jar, marketed under the private label brand of retail multinational Carrefour.

The Carrefour retail chain originated in France in 1958, opening its first supermarket near Annecy. Since then, Carrefour S.A. has developed into one of the world's leading food retailers, headquartered in Massy, France.

For products distributed across its supermarkets in Spain, Carrefour sources items locally from Spanish agri-food partners. In the case of jarred legumes such as chickpeas (garbanzos), packing and processing are primarily carried out by specialized Spanish canning cooperatives and processors (such as Conservas El Cidacos or Legumbres Penelas) located within Spain.
